About the Model
The Patek Philippe Nautilus (ref. 5712/1A) brings an idiosyncratic twist to Gérald Genta’s legendary sports-luxury design, merging asymmetry and function with unmistakable flair. A moonphase display, power-reserve indicator, and off-centre small seconds animate the blue dial’s horizontally embossed surface – at once playful and precise.
Crafted in stainless steel, the 40mm case retains the signature porthole design and integrated bracelet of the original 1976 Nautilus while offering a more intricate face. The display is powered by the ultra-thin, self-winding calibre 240 PS IRM C LU – visible through a sapphire caseback – which delivers a 48-hour power reserve and maintains a water-resistance of 60m.
A fixture of the current collection yet famously elusive on the market, the 5712/1A walks the line between sport and complication. Its unconventional layout and refined execution have secured it cult status among Nautilus collectors and made it a cornerstone of modern Patek Philippe collecting.Read More
